Under construction - progress - setback.

I had a good feel for my new smithy, but..

We got the roof watertight just before Christmas 2011.
Ther is no snow or freezin weather, wonderfull time to construct outer parts for winter.

I like idea finish inside, when winter weather coming.

Then comes Boxing Day, yeh, and srongest storm for a while (100year :))

Winds blow like a Big Bad Wolf and rip half of my smithys roof of.

Under construction - progress

Wooha!

Steel and wood structures are installed, next some roof things.

Very rewarding when you can build a steel structures on proper metal workshop.
Condition of the machinery and tools, and materials available :) , and at an affordable price :D .

"You can choose and collect there and there everything you need, if you accept these rust steel"
???
"okay"

Little bit over measured steel parts, but WTF, now it´s done and no doubt tough enough?

Whether some information about where is time to buy?

I have so much stories to blog, but no time to write, Wootz things on frontline.

A small quiz:
How much weight is  6(six)litres of Wootz ignot;)

Put your answer on comment area.

Halibatzuibaa, B.Sofa!

ps. Now i have little bit time to play ... BF3 ... I love it;).

Good vibration

Homma etenee.

Taas on palattu rakennushommiin, anturan valua valmistellaan.
Viimeinen kerros mursketta pitää tiivistää ja kun paikallinen
rakennuslaite vuokraamo on lomalla, saa kaivella perälatoja.

Tällainen tupaöljyllä toimiva hydraulinen hyppykeppi á 142kg
tuli kaivettua eräästä suulista, ykkösellä käyntiin :D.

Koirakin siihen tuli isäntäänsä puolustamaan, tuolta möröltä:).

No mutta tulipahan parikin kertaa kierrettyä tätä rataa.

Onneksi tuli hieman ylimmääräistä liusketta, ettei betonilaattaan tarvitse vaihtaa.

Wootz again.

I have other source for wootz(the real one) NH

Before forging this bar, look out my own steel cake.
Some blade made of this little raw ignot
Same blade different sides

Edge is too brittle, maybe new heat treatment help with this prob or addmixes causes that, there is lot of V, Cr, Co, W...

Pattern welded blade is result of practising, C 1%, F52, bandsaw.

And main thing HN Wootz, tree blades,

one finished with kingebony handle, slice moosehorn, own casted bronze with steelwire chips.
